Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how BuxIQ's subscription billing, cancellations, and refunds work. By subscribing to BuxIQ Pro, you agree to this policy. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.

2. Free Plan

BuxIQ's Free plan is free forever. No payment is required. No cancellation is needed. You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account.

3. Pro Plan & Family Plan Billing

BuxIQ Pro is billed monthly or annually (if annual billing is selected). Billing begins on the date you subscribe and recurs automatically on the same date each month or year.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your BuxIQ Pro subscription at any time. To cancel:

Upon cancellation, your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after the cancellation date. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. Your transaction history and financial data are preserved.

5. Refunds

General Rule: BuxIQ does not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

Exceptions — You are entitled to a full refund if:

To request a refund, email support@buxiq.app with subject "Refund Request" and include your registered email and reason. We will review and respond within 5 business days.

Consumer Protection: Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).

Annual Plan Pro-Rata

If you subscribed to the annual Pro plan (₹2,499/year) and wish to cancel mid-year, your Pro access continues until the annual renewal date. No partial refund is issued for unused months within a paid annual period, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. You will not be charged again at renewal if you cancel before the renewal date.

Family Plan Cancellation

When the household Owner cancels the Family Plan, all household members lose Family Plan features at the end of the current billing period. Members retain their individual accounts and personal transaction data. The household Owner can downgrade to Pro (₹299/month) to retain personal Pro features while discontinuing Family features. Child accounts created under the Family Plan will revert to view-only mode (no new transactions) until the parent subscribes again or deletes the child account.

6. Failed Payments

If your payment fails, BuxIQ will retry the charge for up to 7 days. During this period your Pro access continues. If payment is not recovered within 7 days, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan. No data is deleted during the grace period.
